EIGHTEENTH AMENDMENT

A DRY REPEAL MEASURE BILL HAS SHORT LIFE. ALBANY (New York), April 12. The State Assembly, by a vote of 80 to (12, passed a bill requesting Congress to call a constitutional convention for the purpose of repealing the Eighteenth Amendment to the constitution. The measure, however, failed to pass the State Senate due to a technical adjournment creating a situation which made a vote impossible.
