GLEN LESLIE IS TO LIVE IN STRATFORD

A WELL-KNOWN BOXER.

Glen Lejslie, the well-known boxer, has taken up his permanent residence in Stratford, and will open a class in the lisUc art, using the Scouts' Hall as a gymnasium.

He is now training hard for his figlit with Johnnie Leckie at Napier on April :50th, and he is also engaged to meet. Hector Leckie, in a contest, tor the light-weight title, at Hawera in Winter Show week.

It is hoped that a good match may be arranged for decision in Stratford jsonie time in May, and the Association at Patea is anxious to arrange a match for Leslie. Next week Leslie will carry out training at the Scouts' Hall, every afternoon and evening, and he will be pleased to spar with anybody who may feel so inclined. There is no danger in these encounters, in which Leslie makes a point of sparring lightly. Leslie has a good record in the ring, and one feature is worthy of special note—that on the two occasions when he has met Tommy Donovan he has gone the full distance with him. In view of this fact a further match should prove a splendid draw, and the local Sports and Fastimes Club might do worse than arrange the match.
