DAIRY PRODUCE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following advice from London office, dater March sth, last week's figures in parentheses: Butter—N.Z. choicest salted 142 s per cwt. (1463 to 1475). Cheese.-—Whte, 83s to S4s per cwt. (S7s). Coloured—B3s per cwt. (86s). Market weak. Tallow.—We quote present C.I.F. and E. values for the following descriptions of tallow: Fine mutton 38s cwt. (395); good beef 37s (38s); mixed 34s (365). Our quotations are more or less nominal. The Farmer*' Co-op report a. full yarding of sheep and cattle at their Kohura.tahi sale on Wednesday last. The yarding! of sheep was. much beav ier than advertised and there was practically a total clearance at prices considerably in advance of earlier sales. The demand for good 4 hd 5 year breeding' ewes was very keen, 2-1 s 5d being the best price" for th'.* class. There wa s J»8so a Fair yarding of store cattle and bull*,, most of Which were quitted at the hammer.
