Dr. T). Miller. entomologist at Cnwthron Institute, has. been selected to represent the Government at the linperTfil Entomological Conference to be held in''London in May next.

Mr. and Mrs J. C. Allen returned to /Stratford last night after a motor trip to the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel. In all they travelled 1200 miles and enjoyed splendid weather. A short time was spent at Kawhia, where fishing was indulged in, Mr Allen landing 100 flounders and 70 schnapper.

The Minister of Health, Hon. A. J -Stalworthy. will arrive in Stratford on Wednesday next and will remain until Friday as the guest of Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P. Mr. Stalworthy will open the gpt&ea. party in aid of th obstetrical Fund at Mr. aid of the Obstetrical Fund at Mr. Poison's residence on Thursday.
