G.> Harkness left, this morning for Wellington, alter a business visit to tile district. Mr G. I). Hunter i s at present seriously ill in a private hospital at Inglewood. Mr. an<] Mrs. R. McDonald left tliis morning on return to their home at Mangaweka. Mr. C. Pcnn County Clork lias resumed duty after a holiday visit to Auckland. Miss ('. Dixon Icty to-day on return to Wellington, after a visit to hor parents, Mr and Mrs P. N. Dixon. Mr. J. W. jWinfTield, Inglewood, I).') K been appointed to fill the vacancy on the Stratford Licensing Committee caused by the resignation of Mr. J, W. McMillan. Mr. E. H. Robinson, of New York, and at one time a resident of Stratford, who is at present on a business visit to New Zealand, i s to arrive to-morrow evening on a visit to his brother, Mr S. Robinson.
