NOT A NECESSITY
MOTOR AMBULANCE.
HOSPITAL BOARD RESCINDS PREVIOUS RESOLUTION.
At this morning’s meeting of the Hospital Board a letter was read from the Town Clerk (Mr P. Skoglund) who communicated the resolution passed by the Borough Council, that the Hospital Board should come to a definite decision regarding the desirableness or otherwise of a motor ambulance, before making an appeal to the public for funds. The Board went into committee to discuss the question of, purchasing a motor ambulance, and passed the following resolution.: “That whilst the Board considers the possession of an ambulance desirable the Boai’ft is convinced that'.the vehicle is not an absolute necessity.” It was decided to send a copy of the resolution to the Borough Council.
The former resolution, that public subscriptions should be solicited for the ambulance fund, wa s rescinded, ■aind it was decided to vote the funds collected on Hospital Day for use in the nurses’ home.
