Pet-; erson, £o 10s, costs: £l 10s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. On a judgment summons Logan Barnes wsa ordered to pay £2 to James Troy (Mr Kay). SCAFFOLDING OFFENCES. iM On behalf of W, H. Aburn, M r P. Thomson pleadedf'guiity to charges of failing to have ladders on scaffolding live feet above the highest level, and! failing to provide guard rails on| scaffolding. Mr W. J. Berryman, inspector, said the offences occurred on Jtjh|e» new buildiing on the eastern side of Broadway, just north of the railway entrance. M r Thomson said' a guard rail was provided and gave the protection which the extra length of ladder was designed to give. When the inspector saw the job the laddfer had been temporarily shifted from the place where the guard rail was. Defendant was away at another job at the time. The S.M. ■"•Sriicl there was no excuse for such offences, which, however, were rare. Defendant would he fined 50s, vrffh. costs 10s, on eat> hl charge, and be ordered to pay ex» penses 12s 2d. WANDERING COWS. W. Collins dic| not appear to answer charges of permitting three cows to wander «™d failing to keep them off the footway. Bangor Dixon said defendant's cows caused a rat deal of annoyance to Brecon- -TJoad residents, who had t" 'put wirer-netting over their hedges to protect them. Fines 'of 20s and 40s, with costs 10s, were imposed!.
