ARRIVAL OF ASIATICS
“WHITE HEW ZEALAND” PROTEST, WELLINGTON, Oct. 3. The President of the White New Zealand League, Mr J. W. Ramson, received to-day the following telegram front the League’s Auckland secretary: ‘‘Thirty-five Asiatics arrived in Auckland yesterday. Wo have protested to the Government, will you please record your branch protest also”? It was stated that the Wellington branch would also submit its protest. Interviewed to-day the Minister of Customs, the Hon. W. H. Tavern r. said he had received a telegram Hum the League, and inquiries were feeing made by the Department. He hoped to be in a position to-morrow to reply to the Loagud.
