PRESENTATION
TO MRS W. H. H. YOUNG. FROM FOOTBALL CLUB. Occasion was taken at last night’s j dance at the Town Hall to make a presentation of a handsome manicure sot to Mrs W. H. H. Young from the Stratford Football Olub. In making the presentation, Mr It. Masters, president of the 'Club said) it gave him great pleasure to pe»form the duty. (A]blauise). Mrsi Young was the istar player of the club’s ladies’ team, and all the members of the team were splendid workers. Further, they all agreed that Mrs Young was the star player. The club was under a deep debt of.gratitude to Mrs Young, who had rendered! yeoman service to tlve club over many years, and especially in connection with the annual dance. They wore indebted to her for hei organising ability, as a. result of which the club’s funds had benefitted materially. Indeed the club’iai good financial position was due ini large measure to her help. The other ladies of the committee were desirous that a iprbse.nf.atiion should bo made to Mrs Young, and, personally, j hefelt that her work was well worthy of recognition. He would! ask . Mrs Young to accept the present, nob j as a reward for the work she had done, but a: s a token of the club’s recognition of her long and dose association with the chib. In future years, when Mrs Young looked op the manicure set, he hoped it would remind her that the dub fully recognised! its indebtedness to her. (Applause.) In acknowledging the gift and thanking the club, Mrs Young said all the membera of the- holies’ com- , infftee had worked hard ami deserved a present quite as much as she did.
