Miss Squires arrived bak in Stratford this morning after a visit to Australia. Mr J. F.. Ryan left this morning on a holiday visit to Auckland. The Hon. G. M. Thomson, M.17.C, left- for south this morning alter a short, visit to his nephew, Mr P. Thomson. M r and "Mrs Dan Sullivan left this morning on return to Wellington. after a visit to Mr Sullivan's parents, Mr and Mr s T. D. Sullivan. • At a meeting of the club last night Mr A. Nelson was • appointed to represent the Stratford Sports and Pastimes Club at the annual boxing 'conference, to be held a t Greymouth at the end of thi s month. At yesterday's meeting of the Taranalri Presbytery a motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Mr J. U. Murray, who had been a member of the Presbytery, had represented Eltham at the General Assembly and been a leading worker in the Presbyterian Churn at Eltham. A motion of sympathy wa s also passed with Mr and Mrs Stewart, Waverley, in the loss of Mrs Stewart's mother.
