HUIROA.

Fine weather last Friday evening enabled' a large crowd of parents and visitors to attend the annual juvenile plain amd fancy dress ball. The school was beautifully decorated with black and, red streamers which gave a delightful appearance to the dresses worn by the children. The evening opened with the Grand Mflfrch, and Mr. Wimsett is to bo congratulated on the splendid performance, of the children who from tlie eldest to the youngest, were thoroughly conversant with their parts, and did not make one slip during the whole performance. Tliis is very creditable indeed, considering some of the intricate figures of the marching. The children, who were all in fancy dress, seemed to be enjoying it as much as the on lookers, and gave a very fine exhibition. After the Grand March, the youngsters had the floor for dancing until 10 o'clock. Miss Bray supplied the music for the children's part of the'evening and Masters Don. Wickham, Ted Wood and Bill, Golctap •made very capable M.'sO. Mrs. J, Reid supplied the music for the ad nits.
