Suli-Unioii Football. i Mr A. O'Sullivau will bo the referee for the football match between the Whangamomona and Tainui subunions to be played at Stratford next Saturday. In Memory. Yesterday a wreath, in which vegetables predominated, was sent by some Stratford people to a former resident of Stratford, who is now one of the bulwarks of the Star Football Club. Alleged .Speeding'. As a result of a drive on Saturday last, it is understood that about a dozen residents will be asked to face the Court and explain their •views on the speed limit a s regards motor cars. A Drawn Game. At Inglewood on Saturday Stratford Convent and Moturoa ployed a drawn game in the final of the primary school junior competition, and it was decided that each team should hold the cup for six months. Convent played ten matches in the competition, and scored 241 points without one point being scored against them.
Welcome Back, At last night's meeting of the Works Committee of the Borough Council the Mayor welcomed Cr. N. B. Fletcher back' to the Council, and referred to the excellent work he had previously done for the town. Cr. Fletcher suitably replied, saying- he would endeavour to continue his good work.
