Total expenses to f.o.b, again showed an improvement, being fa) per lb. less than last season. Moreover, the quality of cheese manufactured was up to the usual high standard of th.e company, and the manager (Mr J. L, Taylor) was to be congratulated upon having won the New Zealand championship at Palmerston North. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, the chairman said th© company’s cheese had been waxed for export, and a saving equivJent to j. per cent had resulted. There was cause for gratification- in the grade received by the company’s product. In reply to. a question, it was stated that the yield had been 2.714. Tile report and balance-sheet were adopted. ELECTION OF DIRECTORS, Messrs A. D, Johnson and H. J. Shrimpton retired by rotation from the directorate. They were nominated for re-election, and in addition Mr S. Lawrence was nominated. A ballot resulted, and Messrs Johnson and Lawrence were declared elected. Mr J. H. Thomas was re-elected auditor. THANKS. On the motion of the chairman a, hearty vote of thanks was accorded neighbouring factories for taking in Lowgarth milk without extra cost while the factory was closed. Tributes were paid to the efficient work of the company’s permanent staff, a vote of thanks am| 'appreciation being passed. “I think we have as good a permanent staff in ou r factory as there is in Taranaki,” said the chairman. The secretary and the chairman were also accorded votes of thanks.
