SHORTAGE OF COAL FOR GAS MAKING
(Received 0.20 a.m.) NEWCASTLE, This Day. Further trouble i, s expected by the gas companies which are experiencing difficulty in securing' gas mailing coal. The Government stocks at Port, Waratah from which the coal is obtained are sadly depleted and only about a month's supply is left. A critical position may occur unless a new source ot supply is found shortly.—Aus-; tralian Assn.
