The workers thronglijout the State, as a result of the timber strike and; Hie northern coalfields both of which have been in progress for six months,, have lost nearly £2,000,000 in wiges. TJic disputes! have thrown thirty thousand men out of employment, and unemployment relief is costing the Government £IO,OOO a week.
