VALEDICTORY
REV. VATIJER KOHAN. There was a very attendance of Catholic parishioners and ves'clents of the town and district of other denominations at the Parish Hair last night for the fare we'( social to the Re-'. Fa: he* J. P- Rohan, who has been transferred to the charge of the Johm'.onville Parish. The Rev. Father McLaughlin, who occupied the chair, made feeling reference to Father Rohan's valuable assistance in the parish, more especially in the backblocks districts, and to his many sterling qualities. Father McLaughlin voiced deep regret at losing Father Rohan's services, and wished him every success in hi s new parish. On behalf of the parishioners, Mr A. Coleman made a presentation of a travelling rug, motoring gloves and a cheque to Father Rohan, and in doing so expressed the regret of the parishioners at his departure, appreciation for his very valuable and cheerful services, and tb e hope that in his new charge he would have a prosperous and happy fature. Father Rohan suitably replied. The usual euchre party vaa th?n gone on with, some of those present indulging in dancing, a very enjoyable function terminating about midnight. Father Rohan expects to leave by the mail train o n Friday morning for Johnsonville.
