WHILE HER SON LAY DEAD

ACTRESS PLAYS HER PART MAKING OTHERS LAUGH. Miss Jennie Cregson (Mrs Good. fellow), who is playing a principal part in the musical comedy, "Oh Letty," at the Prince's Theatre, Manchester, was called on Christmas morning to her son, who was ill with pneumonia in a Liverpool hospital. She stayed with) him until be died in the early hours cf the following morning, and then she had to return to Manchester to take her part im the Boxing Day matinee.

In spite of her bereavement she sang and made fun. She has not

missed a performance since, and the only time she has wavered in public was when she led the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" on Monday night. Then she had t'o be led from the stage.
