The shockingly b«wly of llditih Maud Atkins, a married woman, was found near the railway line about; two chains on the Aramoho side of the Grey Street lKjrol crossing shortly before 11 o'clock on Saturday nlgfct, . She was apparently struck »y a goods train from Marten,,d!ue| at Wawganui at 9.40 p.m., but tlie first indication, tliat there bad been an accident was not apparent until the engine from itlio train was taken into the shed for the night and blood was noticed on the <t»wcatchic* by the driver F. J. Vincent. An examination of tire under gear revealed further traces of a tragedy, and a search instituted and tlh/v body found.
