GRAVE DANGER OF AFGHAN CIVIL WAR
EX-KING MAKES BID FOR THRONE. MARCH ON KABUL BEGUN. DELHI, March 23. Fighting has begun in Afghanistan Ex-King Amannllah, making! a determined bid for the throne, sent a big force with' si* guns from Kandahar to Kelati Gilzai, a town 70 miles from Kabul. En route they clashed with tribesmen in the Mulsnr district. There were heavy casualties on both sides.
Abdul Ali. brother of the ex. Gov. ernor of Kabul, is raising 2000 troops to support Amanullah. The Shinwar--18, who are against Amanullah, are threatening to attack Dacca and Lalpura.
Amanullah's pianos aro dropping leaflets in Kabul urging the citizens f» eject Baocliasakau, the present ruler.
The opinion, is generally expressed that unless some strong leader appears the country will immediately be plunged into civil war.
