THE AYON STARS. The Stratford Club rink which has held the Avon Stars for some time, has parted with the trophies as the result 1 of a hard-fought game with an Eltham rink on I the Stratfodr green. The challengers (Clemow, Renai, Rowe, Harrison) scored 22, and the holders (Ansley, Smart, Harris, Macßonald) scored 17. THE DIGGERS* CUP. During the week-end the Inglewood holders of the Diggers' Cup (Smith, Pope, Henry, Whyte) stalled off a challenge by a Stratford rink (Ewing, Coe, Hunt, Harris), winning by 27 to 26. Lat'er, a rink from the New Plymouth Fire Brigade club (Roch, Hay,' Gernhoefer, Goldsmith) Won Ithe cup, scoring 30 to the holders' 19. SOUTH AUCKLAND TOURISTS. The following Stratford players have been selected to play for South Taranaki against 1 the South Auckland* tourists at Hawera on Thursday: A. Dickinson, H. North, J. S. -MacDonald, Hunt, J. S.
