CROQUET
north island TOURNEY, There was again fine weather at New Plymouth yesterday for the continuation of the North Island championship croquet tournament and good, progress was made with the championship and handicap events. The handicap doubles were finalised,. Mr. and Airs. A. J. Gibbs (Patea)’ defeating Mesdames Stevens (Hawera) and McKay (Alanaia) by 26 to 19. The winners had a handicap of nine bisques, the losers’ handicap being seven.
