THE IDEA of holding a garden fete in a,id of Stratford’s 'parks is a good one and thoroughly merits the. support of the citizoius. Slratford is fortiuiato in its parks, which evoke. tk e admiration of visitors, and every, thing that is likely to*"make for then betterment should! be assisted to the utmost. for submission to a. special meeting of the Domain Board and later to a public mooting. Sports Clubs and other bodies are to be asked to organise and take charge of events in which they are particularly interested, and u r o feel sure the co-oporabion de siren will bo forthcoming. In addition to this the assistance of the townspeople is needed;, and) as the object is such a worthy one, there is every reason to think the appeal which will bo made to them will be responded to in the splendid manner which is so characteristic of Stratford.
