Four well known residents of Tauranga were badly burnt yesterday when the launch Kinghsh caught lire after an explosion at Mercury Cove where she; was lying at anchor. The crew comprised Captain Black and Messrs Joseph, Merrilles and Hunt. All were injured, Black being in a serious condition. The launch Emerald saw a blaze and rescued, the crew from their medicament.
