TORRENTIAL RAIN NEW SOUTH WALES FLOODS. CONDITIONS IN NORTH BETTER. (Received 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. While) the flood waters on the North Coast are recoding, torrential rains have fallen on the South Coast causing grave concern. The Kempsey mail train had a narrow escape when it nearly ran into a landslide which blocked the line near Gloucester. The Hawkesbui’y River is now twenty feet above the summer level and the police have been informed that heavy floods are rushing towards Windsor. —Australian Press Assn.
