PROPOSED AMBULANCE.
TO THK BDIXOB Sir.—l am quite, sure that if, *» Suggested by your "Citizen,"' the matter of. the 1 proposed ambulance for Stratford was discussed by a public meeting, som«j means would be found \ta overcoma the difficulties which confront the .HospijiaUßoard. it is only a matter of. making! a start, If one difficulty can be removed it would not be long before the others disappear.. For. instance, I suggest that the matter of housing the ambulance at the Fire Brigade station be fully explored. A* present a member of the Brigade receives a certain salary as custodian, and it should be possible to mako some arrangement whereby this man's pay could be increased and he be given the job of; driving the ambulance. It might he possible to pay a man full wages, in which case ; there would be the added convenience 1 of having a man always at the fire i station in case of fire. If this man ; was also expert at first aid he Would be n great help on the scene of an accident.—l am, etc., PRO BONO. Stratford, February Bth, 1929.
