KEEN INTEREST IN JAPAN. % UNABLE TO KEEP UP. (Received 9.35 a.m.) TOKIO, February 6. The reported passage of tbe Cruiser Bill by the American Senate is arousing the keenest interest of Japanse naval officials who foresee Japan’s inability for financials reasons to maintain the proportion allowed under the Washington Treaty. —Australian Press Assn.
