EGMONT EXCURSION.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—On behalf of the East Committee of the Mount Egmont National Park Board, I would like to express through your columns my keen appreciation of tihe assistance given at the recent excursion to Mount Egmont by the Stratford Borough Council, members of the Citizens' and Excursion Committees, the Stratford Branch of the South Taranaki Automobile Association, the . Stratford Citizens' Band, Messrs Boulton's Orchestra, other ladies and gentlemen who helped and are not connected with these organisations, and to those who placed accommodation at our visitors' disposal should such have been required. While iit was hoped that larger numbers would have accompanied the excursion, it is exceedingly gratifying to know that the citizens of Stratford are behind my committee in their endeavours to popularise this side of th 0 Mountain.—l am., etc., J. C. ROBINS, Chairman. Stratford, January 29, 1929.
