AN AMBULANCE FOR STRATFORD.

r IHB Hospital Board should investigate the question of the provision ot an ambulance for Stratford. Themembers do not seem to be. ati all sure that the need exists, but the provision of such a vehicle is very desirable. At present any badly injured or severely ill person hag to be conveyed to the institution in a motor car, which is not by any means in the best interests of the patient. One of tlie difficulties raised when the matter was discussed before, was that of a, driver, but the suggestion of Mr O. 11. Finnerty that an assistant gardener could bq> used for this purpope, seems to disjpose of this stumbling block. Of course, tne Board must face the position regnrding expenditure in other directions

for the development of the Hospital, but the ambulance matter:, is not by any, means as unimportant a. problem as some, of the members seem, to think.
