CONTEST AT AUCKLAND.
FACES KICKED
AUCKLAND, Last Nighty TliQ professional wrestling contest under the auspices of the New Zealand Wrestling Association, between John Kilonis, champion of 'Greece, and Pat McCarthy, champion oi ! Ireland and Canada, ended in the. seventh round, when Kilonis got the dodidiug fall of three by mean of his famous Boston crab hold. The contest \va s marked by much, ill-feeling, punching, kidking and. in fact, everything that was illegal. Tbo referee warned .Kilonis on one occasion for a straight-out punch to the jaw. Early in the contest the faces of both men bore evidence of kicks used, in freeing themselves from holds. There was a fairly large audience which hoofed loudly at intervals, and Kilonis, instead of being cheered as the winner, was hooted for several minutes.
