Mrs. V. P. McMahon, of Toko, who has for some time been an inmate of the Stratfofd Hospital, is now about again.
Mrs Maxwell, of Toko, who has been visiting New Plymouth for health reasons, returned to her borne yesterday.
Misses P. Blick and R. Kehely left by the mail train this morning for Christchurch ,where they will spend a short stay.
Mr T. Webb, of Palmerston, and formerly a resident of Stratford, lS at present on ia vis.t to Stratford, renewing old acquaintances and visiting members of his family.
Resolutions congratulating Mr T. M. Ball, lately district Public Works engineer at Stratford, on his promotion to the Otago district were passed at yesterday’s meeting of the Opunake, Harbour Board aud the Clifton County Council.
Prior to his departure from Taumarunni to take up the position, of district Public Works engineer at Stratford, Mr P. Keller was met by a large number of members of the Public Works staff at Taumarpnui and presented with two silver vegetable dishes and a silver entree dish.
