The,, fields are large and horses good, so punters will have plenty to do to sort out the winners. XXX Twenty-one have accepted for the Kapiti Hack Hurdles. Panorama,' Star Shell and Horomea may be the favourites and are sure to go well. XXX Chopin, Black Odin and Dancing Star are three in the Maiden Race that may be thereabouts over the last furlong. XXX Some of the acceptors in the Kat'ihiku-Hack Handicap, seven fur. longs, have been racing prominently lately and several look to have ■ a chance. King Quex, Pale Star and Green Acre may be the best backed on the tote. "*X X X a , Vertigern is at the tep of handicap in the Ling Memorial Handicap, 1 1-4 miles, with 9.2. Black Mint and Paitonu are on the same mark with 8.9. Black Mint will be coupled with Royal Game and are sure to be well backed. Pait'onu will have a show and may be one of the favourites. Royal Mint and : Shining Armour will carry some support. TaliSker has recent form td go on and might be the favourite. Imperial Spark and Avro are possibilities, Kilmiss and Kilmezzo have shown no form lately. Twink and Kilperon make up a very open field.
