.. THE SILODROME. THE BIG THRILLER. | What 1 promises to he the greatest thriller ever presented at the Stratj ford Show is the Silodrcme. It provides, without exception, the m'ost nerve-jangling death-daring stunt that anyone could devise for, making money. The idea originated with . the daring motcr-cyclists, the Staig Bros., who provide the show. They discovered in the empty silo at home in America that if sufficient •pace could b e got up on the floor it was possible tb ride the cycle up the vertical wall. At the show, there is a huge cylinder, with a saucer-shaped floor. Round thci open top, under a shade, stand the spectators, while the reckless ..showmen get up pace on the floor, gradually rising round the battens of the inclined floor, and when doing over forty miles an hour take to the verical cylindrical wall, the centrifugal force giving the tires a grip on the wood. Spirally ascending, glued "to the wall like a fly to the ceiling, up and up the motor-cyclists climb, the machine and body parallel with the ground, until he reaches a red line painted/round the silodrome a foot or two from the t'op. and al- i most within touch or tile spectators. Circling this several times the dangerous descent commences. A faulty plug, or seme trifling failing in that most 1 tricky And uncertain tbing, the motor-cycle is all that is needed to procure a fatality. The shattering din of an open exhaust adds to the tingle in the nerves of those who watch. This great American sensati'o:i slsculd be witnessed by visitors to the Stratford Show. MAORI ORCHESTRA.
