OTAHUHU TROTS. AUCKLAND, November 17. Fine weather favoured the opening of the Otahuhu Trotting Club's spring meeting at Alexandra Park, Epsom, to-day. There, was. a large attendance but the totalisator receipts were £36,163 10s. compared with £52,766 10s last year. An inquiry was held after the Onehunga Handicap, regarding th,e alleged interference of Laplander with Free Advice, in the/ straight. The former was originally placed first but the positions were i"eve.rsed. The owner of Laplander immediately lodged an appeal, and the stakes and totalisator receipts were, impounded pending the decision of the conference.
