YOUNG MAN PLEADS GUILTY. REMANDED FOR SENTENCE. AUCKLAND, Last, Night. The charges of stealing a, total of £3O belonging to the Auekiaiul City Ladgcj of the Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes were admitted at the Police Court to-day by Charles Gordon Lindsay, a> clerk, aged 31 years. Chief Dec five Hammond said. that. Lindsay bad been acting as sec rota r* and had collected the money which lie converted to bis own use. lie had never been iu trouble previously. Counsel said. Lindsay, who was married, had been cut of work for some time. No doubt Ibis led. to bis taking the funds. It was a case for probation, subject to making restitution. The magistrate, Mr F. K. Hunt, remanded accused until to-morrow for sentence for the purpose of obtaining a report from, the probation officer.
