A THEACHER OUS TROUBLE. Kidney diseases are very dangerous. They come on silently, gain ground rapidly and cause .nousands of deaths that could have been prevented hy proper treatment in the beginning. Nature gives early warnings of kidney disease —backache, twinges of pain when stooping or lifting, headaches, or urinary disorders! If these syraptom s are unheeded there is grave danger of fatal kidney disease. Doan's Backache Kidney Pills have earned a reputation for their effectiveness in kidney troubles, and are known and recommended the world over. Mr A. E. Nisbet, Dawson Street, New Plymouth, says; “Some time ago I caught a severe cold which settled on my kidneys, and in consequence I suffered agony from backache. I often used to feel too ill to attend to my work, which was made doubly hard by weakness and pain, but it had to be done. My trade is that of a blacksmith, and this work, as everyone knows, is very hard on the back. Other symptoms of kidney disorder were dizzy feelings and disordered secretions. After trying all kinds -of medicine without deriving any benefit I was urged to give Doan’s Backache Kidney Pills a trial. I got some at once, and by the time I had flushed three bottles of these grand pills I was completely restored to health.” Fourteen years later, Mrs Nesblt says: “My husband has had no return of his old complaint since Doan’s Backche Kidney Pills cured him fourteen years ago. He keeps this medicine by him now, and takes a few doses whenever he feels a little off colour, and it always does him good.” Doan’s Backache Kioney Pills are sold by all chemist s and storekeepers, Foster-McClellan Co., Proprietors, 15 Hamilton Street, Sydney. But, be sure yon pet DOAN’S.

For the weary brain-worker there arc worse ways of spending a welcome “night ofi” than by the tireside, with pipe and book for company. Hub the tobacco for such occasions should be a brand than can be smoked with enjoyment for three or four hours at a stretch without burning the tongue or other unpleasant consequences ; where is such tobacco to bo found? Why right here in New Zealand. And it owes its excellence to two things, principally. Firstly, it contains only a minimum amount; of nicotine, and secondly it is toasted in the process of manufacture. That’s why the flavour is so good. In these two important respects it differs altogether from the imported brands which often contain as much as live or six per cent of nicotine, and are not toasted. For purity, delicacy, flavour, aroma, and wholcsomcness, Now Zealand tobaccos are unrivalled. If you like a mild aromatic smoke try Riverhead Gold ; if yon prefer a medium strength there is Navy Cut (Hulking) and if you arc accustomed to a full-flavoured brand ask for Cut Plug No. 10 (Bull’s Head). 19.
