A whale was found stranded on the shore near lower Normanby lload Manaia, on .Saturday morning. Eric Bennett, son of Mr- 12. Bennett, Sutherland Road, engaged in fencing operations on top of the cliff nearby, noticed : > large white object, which proved to be a dead whale 46 foot in lengthy lying on its hack on the rocky shore. It had evidently been dead for several days.
