WAIKATO 4 MARKET : REPORT. The Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report:— Beef.--- Although the markte is firm, there has been no rise, due no doubt, to the good yardings coming forward, best prime ox making 36s per 100 lbs, and tfrime cow and heifer 32s Gd. Fat Sheep.—The m ket has been slightly easier, more especially for wethers than ewes and hoggets. Store Sheep.—A good demand still exists for ewes in lamb, wethers and hoggets at good prices. Store Cattle.—The yardings' have been small, chiefly forward and store cows, and yearling heifers, with a good demand for all classes. Dairy Cattle.—There is a strong demand for all breeds of springing heifers with butterfat backing, also, good tested herds are meeting with competition. During the last fortnight we have held a number of special heifer and clearing sales, and competition has been keen throughout. p£gs.— The yardings are smaller With a good demand for baco'liers and porkers, the latter class have taken a considerable rise in values. There is also :t good demand for good stores, but weaners are still very cheap. Horses __The only class in demand is good niediuih active farm horses. LONDON WOOL SALES. - The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London House, under date July 1Q: — "Wool Sales.—There was a good attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Home and Continental Buyers being fairly active, and prices as compared with the close of proceeding series ruled about 5 per cent lower for fine and medium crossbred slipe. No change in market for others. The opening catalogues were fairly representative."
