SCOTTISH SOCIAL
The first of a series of socials •' >> held "by the Scottish Society m the Parish Hall last night ami was .. great success. The hall, which was beautifully decorated, wag well filled and the card room was comfortably heated by electric heaters kindly iCim by Mr Geo. Smart. During the evening eight pupils of Miss, Jean MacLachlan gave an exhibition dance (Highland Fling) and did great credit to themselves and their teacher, -the dancers were; Misses Jamieson (J)> El. Aitken, P. ( Butchart, Denman ana Masters, Jamieson (2), to pupa music played by Mr Walker- Songs by Miss Jack.son, Mr J. Duncan and Mr Jordon were very much appreciated. Miss B. Masters acted a s accompanist. Messrs Duncan and, Moore were the M.C’s. Tiio pnzo for the Monte Carlo wait* was won by Miss Tunbridge ami partner, Hio supper was supplied by the ladies of the society. Boulton’s No. 2 orchestra wave every satisfaction with the (lance music- ~M-r W- On- played the pipes for the Scotch dancing.
