A dispute before the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr Hally to-day wiia| the Amalgamated Engineering and Allied Trades Industrial Association' of Workers and the New Zealand' Motor Trader's Association. The; scope of the dispute- is the Northern' Taranaki, Wellington, Nelson, Westland, Canterbury and Otugo districts. The Union is asking for a 40 hours' week against 'the employers' offer of 47 with wages from £6 downwards.! Tliei employers offer 2s an hour down.
