HELD UP
BY ARMTED BANDITS.
REGISTERED STOLEN. ESCAPE OF ROBBERS. United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph Copyright. (Received 5.55 a.m.) OTTAWA, June 20. A message from Toronto states that six armed bandits held up the Canadian National Mail car at the Union Station and seized three registered mail bags containing a hundred to three hundred thousand dollars.
They made a getaway in a fast automobile. This 'is the largest hold-up in the history of Toronto, and the police in Ontario, Quebec and the Border States hav e been strongly reinforced for the man hunt. Australian Press Assn.
