The annual meeting of the ,< Dairy Factory Managers' Association carried a resolution that the necessary steps to lay the foundation for a federation of Dairy Factory Managers embracing the whole Dominion and a special committee be set up to confer with - similar committees appointed by the Otago and Southland Dairy Factory Managers' Union. The committees will meet at Wellington during the last week in July and the report is to be submitted to the next annual meeting of the Association with recommendations, for a suitable constitution. Such committee will bo instructed not to enter, {uito any ,arrangement whiclij may involve the federated body m the AibTtration Court or harass the provincial executive as at present* constitute!!.

Officers eiectea were: President, Mr Ferguson (Oraua Downs). Provincial Presidents: Messrs Petersen (Auckland), Young (Taranaki), Lemberg (Manawatu), Delahunty (Hawke's Bay), Foss (Bush District), Crashbie (Wairarapa), Middleton (South Island). Secretary, Mr N'eilson (Pihana). Kemits were carried that the activities cif special testing officers be extended, whereby samples of milk may be analysed for added water, and that the Dairy be askcu to consider the advisibil'ty of making the grading of milk for cheesemakiiig compulsory with dfTferential payments.
