AMUSEMENTS

KING’S THEATRE. “CRADLE SNATCHERS.” Fast moving, cleverly titled, admirably east and splendidly directed, “Cradle Snatchers,” Fox Films screamingly funny farce, brought gales of laughter from the audience who witnessed its first showing at the King’s Theatre last night. It is a sermon in laughs for deceiving husbands and a lesson that many will take to heart when they see this picture. But wnile it delivers a sermon, first, last and always it is an entertainment pure and simple.

The story is quickly told, hut not the dozens of mirth provoking epii sodes. Briefly three wives discovj er that when their husbands say they ! go duck hunting they tell only half !.th e truth. They go hunting, but | not for ducks, but for chickens — i blonde, brunette and red heads. And the wives to teach th ( em a lesson hire three college boys to act as their Romeos —a dark romantic Spaniard born in Brooklyn, a blonde 'Viking, very shy, and one who is strictly business. That is the gist of the plot that furnishes the fun that kept the audience shouting with laughter. The case, each of whom plays his part to perfection, includes J. Farrell Macdonald, Louise Fazenda, Ethel Wales, Dorothy Phillips, Sammy Cohen, Nick Stuart, Aryiur Lake and Joseph Stirker. Howard Hawks directed this delightful comedy.
