When Joseph and Hannah Minoguo man and wire, were charged' at Bathurst Police Court to-day with having alighted from the l Broken Hill express at Parkes, which is not) a specified stopping-place. Air Bi. Kenny said that the “ghastly crime” with which his clients were charged arose out of the quite natural desire of Minoguo to reach Parkes on account of his wife’s delicate state of health. On behalf of the Railway Department it wa s stated that defendants were told that they could not travel by that train on the Bathurst side of Oqudobolin. However, they purchased tickets for Condohlin, boarded the express and alighted at Parkes. Minoguo was fined 2s 6d. and his wife Is, with £3 6s costs.
