ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT
GROWTjH IN ELEVEN YEARS. INTERESTING FIGURES’. The electrical business of . the Stratford Borough Council has now, a total capital value* of £53,327, of which sum £50,500 whs provided by loan and £2827 out of revenue.
A big increase in units sold was shown in 1926-7, when the. changeover Was only partly completed. The change-over was finally completed in. 1)927-8, and a farther substantial increase is looked for now that tho new system is in full worklfig order. The total units sold for: 19278 show a big increase despite the fact that during the; operation of Summer Time the consumption of current fell away very substantially. The following figures supplied by the Town Clerk (Mr P. Skoglund) show the progress of the department during the past eleven years;
