Marshal Foch attended the British , Legion conference at Scarborough and was made an honorary legionary. 'The Prince of Wales addressed five ji'undred and fifty delegates, and promised practical help. He praised the Legion’s relief work, and said ho would accompany the ten thousand legionaries on their battlefield pilgrimage in August. Bari Jellicoe paid a tribute to. the late Earl Haig ;andi the thousands of voluntary workers. .The Prince, flow back to Sandringham to dine with Their Majesty®. The Duke of York took the salute wiuim a thousand Legionaries, including five Victoria. Cross winners paraded 'at Whitehall. _ Ti le D(tin of Westminster conducted the service at the cenotaph.
