A large crowd erf local residents gathered at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Kerrisk, Wharehuia, on Thursday evening last on tho occasion of a gift evening to Miss Josy Kerrisk, who Is shortly to be married. Just before supper the parcels were opened b v Miss Kerrisk and Mr. Bottin, the latter returning thanks in a few well-chosen words. Music, games, etc., were continued until a late hour.
