Replying to Mr Lee Martin’s protest against the dismissal of employees from the Frankton house factory, the Premier telegraphed: “The Government is making every possible effort to absorb men thrown out of employment on account of lack Of work at the t house factory. Special steps are being taken at the present time to find work, particularly for married men.” Mr Lee Martin, in a statement to the Press, says that thousands have been sunk in the house factory, and it is an economic waste to allow this ■to lie idle.
