Ltd., Hamilton report: Beet.— I There lias been, no rise since our last report, but tJie market is still firm for both px and cow beet, prime ox making. 35 s pea 100 lbs. and ipriine cow and heifer JCs per 100. Eat sheep-—Good yardings have been coming forward with prices firm ' for both wether and ewe mutton, I Store sheep.—A good demand dxi ists for all classes . .and competition lis keen for ewes in iamb, store wethers and lambs. Store cattle- I —There • is still a strong demand for grown and young steers, a considerable number of tins class having been fnircliased for southern districts. Good store cow.s and yeaning Jersey heifers are meeting with good competition. Dairy cattle. —A number of sales at high prices have taken place for Jersey and Jersey cross heifers, and prospects look bright for vendors holding this classi Pigs.—Heavy yardings of baconers) j and porkers, with keen 'competition especially for baconers which are making from 7d to> /Ad- Good' stores are wanted but woalners and slipsi are very cheap. Horses.—Therei is very little doing in the horse market.
