The other day he won a guinea, prize, in a race at the baths. His. parents knew nothing about him competing, and his father learned of the incident when he was returning from a union meeting. When he reached home he upbraided "Ted" for risking injury to his wounds. That day wa, B the first day that Pritchard had bee n able to work since the shark attack. He has 'taken a position at a local garage to learn thoroughly how to run a car, •preparatory to taking on a taxi.
