This morning the work was completed of laying a storm-water drain in Juliet Street, across the Fenton Street intersection. The necessity of this work has long been recognised. Previously the water ran down Fenton Street and into Cordedia Street, emptying into Victoria Cake creek, causing a decided nuisance in sections in Falstatf Street. The water will now run into the river at Cloion Road, and the deep ditch which now runs on the north side of Fenton Street will he tilled in.
